I love riding Island Transit. When we moved to this area five years ago, I couldn’t believe what a great system was here, transporting people from one end of the island to the other (and without having to put coins in a box)! I love Island Transit even better now, having ridden the bus on a regular basis. I’m thankful for the paratransit part of Island Transit, which is extremely helpful to so many people who use its services. The drivers are so courteous and helpful.

To those of you who have never ridden the bus and are wondering whether you want to pay the extra percentage to keep the current routes going, please consider taking a ride and checking it out for yourself. Ask any bus driver for one of the colorful brochures which lists all the routes.

How about trying the No. 1 bus to Clinton and then back? You will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery or our island, without having to drive yourself. Please vote yes for the Aug. 18 Island Transit vote. Let’s be positive regarding the benefits of Island Transit to our beautiful island!
