Grateful for memories, experiences at CHS | Letter

Editor, I am a senior who is going to graduate from high school in less than a month and there are just a few words I would like everyone to hear before I leave for college in the fall. My experience living in Coupeville has been one that has impacted me significantly and shaped me into the person I am today. I moved here when I was going into first grade and have been here ever since. I have met a lot of great people throughout the years I’ve lived here, and I would just like to say thank you to all the people who have helped me grow and pushed me to put all my effort into something, whether it’s on an assignment in school or during a drill during practice.

Editor,

I am a senior who is going to graduate from high school in less than a month and there are just a few words I would like everyone to hear before I leave for college in the fall.

High school is one of the most memorable experience in my life and I would not have been able to get through it without the support and help from my teachers and coaches.

My teachers took many hours out of their day to help me understand an assignment and they did not stop until I was comfortable doing the assignment on my own.

Thank you for taking time after school to help me with assignments and homework. Your help made keeping my grades and GPA up easy.

As for my volleyball and basketball coaches, you guys pushed me to do the best that I physically could.

I played volleyball and basketball for all four years of high school and have enjoyed each season.

Now, for my basketball coaches, David and Amy King. I first met Amy King in seventh grade when I first started playing volleyball and then I met David King in eighth grade when I was on his SWISH basketball team. These two people have been my volleyball/basketball coaches all through high school and I couldn’t have asked for better coaches.

They are so passionate about basketball and really cared about every girl on their team. I would like to thank them for always being there for me on and off the court, believing in me and pushing me to do the best that I can and showing up to my non-league games to support me.

It meant a lot to me and I am very happy that I got to meet these people. I would like to thank them for making such a big impact in my life.

I will miss everyone in Coupeville next year, but I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life.
