Ron (Ronald William) Haines passed away Nov. 20, 2011, at the family home in Henderson, Nev. His long struggle with cancer ended with his high school sweetheart Donna, who also became his wife of 58 years, and other family by his side.

Ron is also survived by stepmother Betty Haines, three children, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren along with his good friend, “Miss Mattie,” his Labradoodle.

Ron worked hard and dedicated himself to enjoy opportunities with his family. He was self educated and believed strongly in the rights afforded to Americans. Ron also enjoyed adventurous hobbies including hydroplane racing, car racing and horse racing. At his request there is no planned memorial service.
