Judith Lynn (Wilson) Adams, 57, died Dec. 13, 2003, in Boise, Idaho, following a courageous battle spanning several years with multiple debilitating ailments, finally succumbing to cancer.
The granddaughter of Capt. Lynn P. and Bernice Vane and daughter of Ralpha and Eunice Wilson, Judy was born in Coupeville on Jan. 25, 1946, at Harpole’s Maternity Home. She grew up in Coupeville, graduating from Coupeville High School in 1964. She worked as a nanny and telephone operator in Seattle, where she met and married her husband Earl “Butch” Adams Dec. 28, 1968. Judy and Butch then moved to Santa Rosa. They had lived in Kuna, Idaho, for the past 30 years. Judy worked for Woodgrain Millworks, Inc. in Nampa, Idaho, for 23 years, retiring on disability in 2000.
Throughout all her trials and tribulations, with the unwavering support of her family she remained optimistic and upbeat, rarely complaining. Her devoted family and in particular her six grandchildren, were the light of life.
She is survived by her husband “Butch” of Kuna, Idaho; daughters Patricia “Trish” and husband Darryl Phillips of Kuna, Idaho and Jennifer and husband Chad of Emmett, Idaho; grandchildren Brian, Melissa, Garrett, Blake, Tyler and Jacqueline; brothers Steve and wife Mid Wilson of Stanwood and Jerry and wife Nancy of Friday Harbor; sisters Jan and husband Larrie Ford, and June and husband Martin Mazdra, all of Coupeville. Also surviving are Uncle Arthur and Aunt Sylvia Vane of Menlo Park, Calif.; aunts Ivy (Vane) Williams of Tacoma and Marjorie (Vane) Carpentier of Port Townsend, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Services were Dec. 18.
