The wrong kind of change for Island County

I am shocked at the decision of Island County Commissioners John Dean and Helen Price-Johnson to oust Dave Sherman. Is this the kind of change that our President-elect Barack Obama really would agree too? My goodness, even he has kept people from the soon-to-be former administration, and has promised to unify Americans and work for the betterment of government.

We do not know Mr. Sherman’s political affiliation, but does it matter? This to me is sour grapes by one person who even before she is sworn in, feels the need to stomp up and down and hold her breath until she gets what she wants. Homola and Price Johnson give their party and their followers a bad taste in their mouths.

Has the Island County Board of Commissioners become an exclusive club?

I am saddened by this turn of events. Putting trust in electing new faces that ran on “change, open government and unity;” If this is change, you can keep the change.
