Transparency and openness in government promotes the democratic process; it is not partisan politics. Partisan politics is when a commissioner says Dave Sherman is qualified to be on the Island County Planning Commission and there is no application protocol in place.

It appears that the good old boy network has been replaced by the beginning effort to clean up county government. Councilmember Beth Munns: I invite you to reflect on your statements about partisan politics.
