It is about time that we have some real change in the power structure that has ruled the Island for over 30 years and especially the last 15 years.

We need someone who has the courage to stand up to the past. What is the rush to appoint a pet planning commissioner? It sounds to me like someone has a hidden agenda. If someone wishes to participate in the appointment process and McDowell is saying “why” I say “why not.”

My bias is that I live on Sunlight Beach and do not appreciate the past Island County commissioners’ methods.
