Patricia Ann Wells: May 9, 1927 – February 10, 2024

Patricia Ann Wells, age 96, peacefully passed away at Cypress Assistant Living in Anacortes, WA on February 10, 2024.

Patricia was born in Watford, North Dakota on May 9th, 1927. She was adopted by Lawrence and Hope Klotz from the Medina Baby Home in Seattle, WA on October 6, 1927. She spent her formative years in Seattle.

On September 9th, 1949, Patricia married Sterling DeLaine Wells. Their union began after meeting on a blind date at the Woodland Park Zoo in April 1949. At the time, Sterling was stationed at the Sand Point Naval Air Station. Sterling served honorably in the Navy for 21 years, and their shared journey led them to various states across the country, including Hawaii. They established their home on Whidbey Island in 1957.

Patricia demonstrated wonderful abilities in homemaking, establishing an inviting ambiance in her household that evolved into a beloved gathering place for friends and family. It was a sanctuary for many, abounding with laughter and cherished memories.

As we say our final goodbye, we remember her with love and gratitude. May she rest in tranquility, her legacy enduring.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Hope Klotz and husband, Sterling D. Wells.

She is survived by her four sons and one daughter; Sterling A. Wells of Tacoma, Lawrence D. Wells of Fallon, Nev., Leslie A. Wells of Oak Harbor, Marcus W. Wells of Leavenworth, and Shellie A. Wells of Henderson, Nev. Eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive.
