A motorcyclist died Friday evening near Deception Pass Bridge after she hit the vehicle in front of her, was ejected into another lane and hit by a third vehicle.
The victim, a 42-year-old woman from Bow, has yet to be identified pending notification of her family.
According to a press memo from Washington State Patrol, Leslie McMahon, 50 of Edmonds, was stopped to turn left in the Northbound lane of State Highway 20 at about 9 p.m.
The victim, riding a 2002 Honda VT1100, failed to stop and collided with McMahon in her 1999 Ford F-150.
The woman was ejected into the Southbound lane where she was struck by 19-year-old Oak Harbor resident Nelson Root.
Root was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger.
Washington State Patrol cites the cause of the accident as inattention and no charges will be filed.
No other injuries were reported.
