Commissioner Lee Grose, Lewis County (R) and ANGIE HOMOLA, Island County (D) received the first ever “Book End” award at the Washington State Association of Counties Legislative Steering Committee de-brief meeting in Chelan County. The award was presented to honor their “exemplary efforts in reaching across the aisle to establish legislative priorities of state wide significance.” The award singles out a Democratic and a Republican county commissioner from all of the 39 counties in Washington state who demonstrate the greatest amount of bi-partisanship in the conduct of their office.
