If you found an eReader under the tree for Christmas but aren’t sure what to do next, head to the library for a free class.
An eReader is a portable device with a screen for reading electronic versions of books (eBooks), magazines, newspapers and other types of files.
Sno-Isle Libraries has implemented an eBook check-out system with more than 8,500 titles plus audiobooks, movies and music.
The “Librarians as Information Guides” project, funded by The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation and Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation, hosts classes at various libraries through February.
Oak Harbor Library will hold “Download eBooks, Audiobooks, Movies and Music” Monday, Jan. 9 at 3 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m.
Coupeville Library will host “Learning to Love Your Kindle” Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 2:30 p.m.
