Where’s proof to back mud slinging? | Letter

I guess the past week or so has been “Attack Sen. Barbara Bailey” week with all the negative letters that made it to the editorial page.

Editor,

I guess the past week or so has been “Attack Sen. Barbara Bailey” week with all the negative letters that made it to the editorial page.

I wonder if Angie Homola’s supporters such as Kimberly, Michael, Elaine and several others all get together with Angie each weeks to see who will write the next “attack” letter.

It is the same “long laundry list” and tired rhetoric of untruths each week.

It is interesting that Angie claims that she is running a “clean and respectful” campaign and in the next breath she joins in with her supporters in writing a disingenuous letter herself.

Shame on you! Call off your “attack dogs,” Angie, and the flagrant smears against Sen. Bailey.

Let’s get the facts straight:

Sen. Bailey did not authorize or condone the flyer against Angie, nor does she attack Angie, so stop the “blame game.” Senator Bailey is running an honest campaign and is doing a good job for District 10.

Sen. Bailey lists her supporters and does not control whomever else they support. Does Angie control all her supporters and their outside interests?

Sen. Bailey is not getting this “so-called laundry list” of support from all the multitudes of these corporations that Angie’s supporters love to list on and on. It is amazing that all of you have listed the very same groups in your letters. Especially picking out numbers as $27, 100 or $30,000 or millions, etc. Really, where is your proof? It would be interesting to check on some of Angie’s money from the past.

Sen. Bailey has done a good job serving our 10th District. She worked hard to help veterans and served on the Senate Committee on Veterans and Military Affairs. She received awards for her work. She has worked to help cut the tuition up to 25 percent or more for students at our state colleges and universities. She helped restore funding for the Island Transit.

These are just a few of her accomplishments to help her constituents.

I wonder where all these accolades from Angie’s supporters are coming from since she only served one term as an Island County commissioner. What exactly were her accomplishments? Guess she will be nominated for “sainthood” next.

It would be interesting to see what other groups are supporting Angie besides the “grassroots” of the district.

Meanwhile, we are tired of the “mud slinging” tactics of Angie and her supporters. Enough is enough!
