We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the civic organizations, businesses, commands and community members who helped to make our “Christmas in July Food and Fund Drive” a success.

We received just over $15,000 in cash donations and 9,400 food items during the month. This drive was originally started because we see a decrease in the amount of donations during the summer months with people taking vacations, having company and attending all the events of the season, etc.

Unfortunately, hunger doesn’t take a vacation. We have seen a 10 percent increase in requests for food and a five percent decrease in the food donations we have received compared to this same time last year.

From all of us here at Help House, please accept our sincerest thanks for your continued support of Help House. We would not be able to keep feeding the hungry in our community without you.
