I am a postal carrier in Coupeville. This time of year with all the added parcel deliveries can be troublesome, especially for the subs who help. So many home addresses are not clearly marked. The saying in our business is, well, at least firefighters have smoke for a clue.

This really is no joke. If you read the fire department’s boxholder delivered to every island resident this week you’ll understand completely. Fortunately for our community house address signs are available to all, even if you are just a renter and they are free.
