Unable to build upon its comeback win Monday, the Oak Harbor High School volleyball team lost 3-0 at Shorecrest Wednesday, Sept. 23.
The Scots scooted by Oak Harbor 25-20, 25-23, 25-18 behind 25 kills and 19 digs from Bailey Rutter and six aces by Julia Clark.
“(We) looked like a different team than Monday night,” Oak Harbor coach Kerri Molitor said in reference to the Wildcats’ 3-2 win over Arlington.
Shorecrest improved to 2-1 in Wesco action and 2-3 overall, while the Wildcats fell to 1-2 in conference and 1-4 for the season.
Oak Harbor plays on the road at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, in Meadowdale (1-2, 1-4) and then comes home for a 7 p.m. match Thursday, Oct. 1, with Glacier Peak (2-1, 4-1).
