Marily Anne Kirk

Dearly loved wife, mother, companion, and friend.

Marilyn was born on July 3, 1934, in Los Angeles, Calif., and died May 6, 2004.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Paul Kirk; one brother, Richard Eade; one sister, Gene Fehr; three sons, Hoot, Michael, Gerald; five daughters, Susan, Terry, Tierna, Elizabeth, and Cathlina; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marilyn was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses June 21, 1974.

Marilyn moved with her husband Paul to Coupeville in 1990 from Kirkland. Marilyn enjoyed looking out over Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains, deeply appreciating all of God’s creation and beauty.

She worked at Whidbey General Hospital from 1991 through December 2002 in the billing department as patient account assistant, and often expressed her appreciation and fondness for her many co-workers.

Marilyn enjoyed hiking and exploring the Sequim area, Whidbey Island beaches and the Oregon coast, where she would collect seashells, driftwood and special rocks that she would arrange and display in a cabinet at her home in Coupeville. When on vacation, she could often be found visiting museums and aquariums. She was always studying and learning, ever expanding her knowledge of history and nature.

In fact it was from her search for knowledge that she developed a thirst for Bible truth. As her study of the Bible progressed and through her association with Jehovah’s Witnesses, over time she formed a deep and loving relationship with her creator that gave her much satisfaction and peace of mind. Marilyn shared her hope of soon seeing God’s kingdom come and His will done on earth with the meek inheriting it as Jesus promised.

Marilyn received much joy when joining with other Jehovah’s Witnesses in the door to door sharing of this message, and had true affection for those that shared with her in this.

Marilyn is remembered for her warm and sincere smile. She is remembered as a kind and caring person. She loved people and was always looking for opportunities to share her Bible-based hope for the future with her fellow workers.

Memorial services will be held at the Coupeville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 331 Morris Road (Highway 20 and Morris Road), May 15, 2004, at 2 p.m., and a reception will be held following the memorial. All who knew Marilyn or her family are warmly welcomed and invited.
