Can one perceive a trend that exhibits a clear and present danger to the eventual extinction of the simpler way of island life we are so proud to tell our off island friends about?

Is adding traffic flow to an already crowded, under funded state highway endorsing replication of mainland suburban conveniences, worth the dream of added revenue flow into city coffers?

We humans appear to be the only species in the world that tends to soil the beds we sleep in or those of others. Why is that?
