Margaret H. Waterman, 99, of Oak Harbor, died at Home Place Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004.

Mrs. Waterman was born Nov. 20, 1904, in Delaware Township, Hancock County, Ohio, to Charles and Ethel (Sink) Hauman. In 1928 she married Holly J. Waterman and settled in Washington, D.C. He died April 15, 1971, in Bethesda, Md.

Surviving are her daughter Helen H. Mehelich and husband Jacob R. Mehelich of Oak Harbor; her daughter-in-law, Lois C. Waterman of Newport; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Helen Jones of Arizona and Ethelmay Headley of Ohio. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Charles J. Waterman; her brother Leonard Hauman and two sisters, Mary Rex and Nellie Ward.

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the local Christian Science Society. Arrangements by Burley Funeral Chapel.
