Janet L. Faulkner, age 58 of Greenbank, died March 15, 2008 in Coupeville. Janet was born on February 13, 1950 in Tacoma to Helen Amanda Peters and Ivan Louis Towgaw. She graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1967. On September 29, 1994, Janet married Julian T. (Tom) Faulkner in Shelton, Wash.

Janet was retired from the Alaska marine highways where she had worked as chief cook on the Tustamena and Bartlett. Janet loved challenges and wasn’t afraid to try new things. Her passions were her garden, cooking, and getting people together. Janet’s favorite places were her home and the casino.

Janet is survived by her husband, Julian T. Faulkner; brothers Warren Weiland of Buckley, Wash. and Pat Lasley of Ritzville, Wash.

At Janet’s request, no formal funeral services will be conducted. Cremation was held, with private family inurnment. Burley Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
