Saturday paper likely late

The Saturday, March 15, edition of the Whidbey News-Times will likely be late in reaching the homes of subscribers.

Publisher Marcia Van Dyke said due to an “extraordinarily large paper,” deliveries from the printing plant in Everett will be delayed.

As a result, Saturday’s paper will not arrive in Oak Harbor until after 9 a.m. Paper carriers will follow the Wednesday delivery schedule, delivering papers between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. depending on their circumstances.

“We apologize for the delay and hope to be back on the regular Saturday morning schedule next week,” Van Dyke said.

Typically, the Wednesday News-Times is delivered in the afternoon and Saturday’s paper is delivered in the morning.
