Jan C. Rhett died Jan. 22, 2009 at Providence Hospital Everett.

Jan was born Dec. 13, 1940 in Spokane. She grew up in Seattle, later moving to California. She has lived on the island for 25 years.

Jan worked in the accounting department of CocaCola in San Jose and at a car dealership in San Jose before returning to Washington to care for her parents, Bill and Connie Clark of Saratoga. Jan has been actively involved with several local groups especially the Eagles plant sale.

Jan is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Kenneth Rhett. She is survived by Linda and Dwight Peterson of Greenbank and Scott Peterson of Ravensdale.

Jan left behind many cousins in Southern California: Dorothy Langlois, Mickey Williamson, Audrey Zamora, Fritz Barrett and Lucille Barrett. Jan will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be a memorial service at Visser’s Funeral Home in Langley at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, and a potluck at the Eagles following the service.
