Amy Christine Kahn

Amy Christine Kahn, 30, of Oak Harbor, died at her home Oct. 6, 2004.

Amy was born on July 21, 1974, in Detroit, Mich. She lived in Michigan for most of her life. Amy was married July 12, 2003 to Kevin Charles Kahn in East Northport, N.Y. The couple came to Oak Harbor in 2001. Amy had attended Columbia College and was about to receive her BA degree in accounting. She had maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her college years, and was employed as an accountant at Upchurch Scientific. Amy enjoyed crafts, sewing and reading. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

Amy is survived by her husband, AT1 (AW/NAC) Kevin Charles Kahn; her mother, Nancy Collins of Mancelona, Mich.; her grandmother, Joan Collins of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, Derek Bissell and wife Rachel of Mancelona, Mich., and Shane Bissell and wife Desana of Bellaire, Mich.; mother-in-law, Betty Kahn of North Babylon, N.Y.; also, numerous other relatives.

Visitation was Oct. 11 and 12 at Burley Funeral Chapel. A funeral service was held at Bible Baptist Church Oct. 12, Pastor Jeremiah Sargent officiating. Additional services will be held in Deer Park, Long Island, N.Y., where visitation will take place Thursday and Friday, with a funeral service Friday at 11 a.m. at Caratozzolo Funeral Home, 1785 Deer Park Ave., Deer Park, N.Y. 11729. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y. Memorials can be made to the National Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050.
