We just lost one of this town’s best assets…our pool director. The three Park and Recreation commissioners who chose to let Mr. Shulock’s contract simply run out, should be ashamed of themselves. They have performed unethically and possibly even illegally in their actions in the past, and certainly last Tuesday night.
Jim Shulock was the one driving force that cared about our pool. He cared that his staff worked incredibly hard, yet remained underpaid. Jim, a retired naval aviator, is an honorable man…and will remain that way, despite these commissioners’ attempts to ruin his reputation with false accusations.
I am one taxpayer who is looking forward to the next election for parks commissioners, and I continue to wait for an explanation from these same commissioners on their unethical actions.
