Air Force Airman Jason M. Partin graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Mike Partin of Woodbury Hill, Danville, III., and Brenda Grigsby of Heller Road, Oak Harbor.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jordan H. Green, son of Cindy White of Oak Harbor, and David Green of Oak Harbor, recently completed Naval Nuclear Power Training Pipeline. During the course with Nuclear Power Training Unit, Ballston Spa, N.Y., Green received instruction about nuclear theory, chemistry, physics, reactor operations, safety and security. Upon completion of the course, Green qualified as a Naval nuclear operator.

Green is a 2007 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. He joined the Navy in October 2007.

Air Force Airman Jacob A. Moffett graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. He is the son of Shirley Moffett of W. Whidbey Ave., and brother of Ranae Moffett of SE Pasek St., both of Oak Harbor.

Phillip A. Chronister has been selected for promotion to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Chronister, a current operations branch chief with 15 years of military service, is assigned to the Air Force Global Strike Command at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. His wife, Heather, is the daughter of Thomas and Susan Hamilton of Coupeville.

Air Force Airman Earlsam U. Silvino graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare. He is the son of Florita Silvino of N.W. Fairhaven Drive, Oak Harbor, and a a 2003 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
