The Island County commissioners are seeking applicants for a position on the County’s Historical Review Committee in connection with the Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve in Coupeville.
Board Chairman John Dean said this position is to complete a vacated term which will run until Aug. 13, 2012.
The committee makes determinations concerning the eligibility of individual properties for special tax valuation; verifies that improvements are consistent with the standards; approves or denies applications for special valuation; and monitors property for continuous compliance with regulations.
The Historical Review Committee meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. The first Tuesday meeting is held at 8:30 a.m. and the third Tuesday meeting is held at 4 p.m. All meetings are held on the county campus in Coupeville.
