EGG-SPRESSIVE: A community Easter egg hunt, sponsored by Youth and Teen Center at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, is open to kids ages 2 to 11 with hunting areas divided by age groups. No parents allowed in hunting areas. The fun begins at 10 a.m. sharp at Hillcrest Elementary School fields.
EGG-STRAVAGANZA: Oak Harbor Assembly of God welcomes all kids up to age 10 at its Saturday, April 10, Easter Eggstravaganza. From 10 a.m. to noon, hunt more than 4,000 eggs, win prizes, enjoy pony rides and a bouncy house. Of course, there will be plenty of candy. 4-H members will have live bunnies and there will be a food booth. The church is 319 SE Third Ave..
EGGS-CELLENT: At 11 a.m. Concordia Lutheran Church hosts its third annual community Easter egg hunt behind the church at 590 N Oak Harbor St.
EGG-STENSIVE: Wildwood Farms hosts an Easter egg hunt and fun day. From noon to 4 p.m., there will be eggs to seek, an Easter-bunny-catch-him-if-you-can contest, pie-eating contests and more fun and games for the whole family. $7/adults, $5/children and 3 and under are free. Call 679-3474.

EGG-ZACTLY: Fil-Am Association will hold an Easter egg hunt and potluck party at Rocky Point. It will start at 11:30 a.m., with the lunch buffet. There will be egg hunting, games and prizes for children of all ages. Please bring a favorite dish or dessert to share. Call 679-2199.
EGG-STRA FUN: A community Easter egg hunt starts promptly at 1 p.m. at Taylor Road Fire Station. There are special hunting areas for age groups. It’s sponsored by North Whidbey Firefiighter’s Association and Island County Fire District No. 2. Of course the Easter Bunny is a sponsor. Bring a donation of non-perishable food for Help House.
EGGS-PECTATIONS: VFW hosts an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. for ages toddler to 9. Hunt areas will be roped off by age groups, Parents can escort toddlers through three-year-olds only.The Easter bunny will be on site with lots of goodies. Door prizes will be awarded. The VFW is at 3037 N. Goldie Road.

Easter worship is Sunday, April 11, at 9:30 and 11 a.m. with special service titled “The Empty Tomb: Everlasting Hope!” presented by the church choir. The church is at 319 SW Third Ave.
Sunrise service
Oak Harbor Kiwanis Club invites the community to its 14th annual Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m., Sunday, April 11. The nondenominational service will be held at City Beach Park near the windmill. The speaker this year will be Larry Rector, assistant pastor of First United Methodist Church. An offering will be taken to benefit Help House. In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved to First United Methodist Church,1050 SE Ireland St. Bleachers are not available but people may bring folding chairs.

Easter Sunday starts with a sunrise service at 6:30 am. at Sunnyside Cemetery. An Easter breakfast will be served at the church and the traditional Easter service follows at 11 a.m. The church is on North Main Street in Coupeville.

The church presents a multimedia presentation answering the question “Jesus is Alive – TRUE or FALSE?” The presentation will address questions raised by Mel Gibson’s film, The Passion of the Christ. We will start with brunch at 9:30 a.m. followed by a worship service at 10 a.m. There will be an Easter egg hunt beginning at 11:30 a.m. The church is on W. Whidbey Avenue.

Easter Sunday, April 11, First Reformed Church and Christian Reformed Church join congregations. At 11 a.m. worship service will begin with an antiphonal introit from the chancel choir; Pastor Brown will conclude his sermon series from the Gospel of Mark on the journey to the cross; and the service will conclude with the Hallelujah Chorus.
