Ingathering and Water Ceremony

The beginning of a new church year will be celebrated with UUCWI’s traditional Ingathering and Water Ceremony during a service Sunday, Sept. 12. Rev. Ketcham will speak about the significance of this ceremony and its place in Unitarian Universalism. The service begins at 10 a.m. at 20103 Highway 525, just north of Freeland. Lutherans change to fall schedule

Oak Harbor Lutheran Church announces the fall schedule to begin Sunday, Sept. 12. Sunday morning worship is held at 9:15 a.m. followed by the education hour at 10:30 a.m. Worship services are also held Saturday evenings at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday evenings at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Coupeville at 6:30 p.m. Oak Harbor Lutheran is located at 1253 NW Second St. Call 679-1561.

Living Hope Foursquare, 105 NW Broadway, Coupeville, is pleased to introduce Ray and Courtney Shelly as their new youth group leaders. Kick-off night is Monday, Sept. 13, from 7 to 8 p.m. Call 678-6692.

Coffee Break

and Bible Study

Coffee Break Bible Study will begin fall season with a four-week study of the books of Titus and Philemon. The study will meet weekly at the Oak Harbor Christian Reformed Church, 1411 Wieldraayer Rd., off Swantown Road, on Thursday mornings from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Those interested are welcome to register and receive their study material on Sept. 9, with the study lessons beginning Sept. 16.
