Original letter wasn’t an attack on character | Letter

Editor,

It seems that Mr. Brian Jones found my letter asking if he or his company, CareEvolve, was affiliated with Whidbey General in response to his Sound Off commentary to be vile and irresponsible.

As I stated in my original letter, Mr. Jones wrote a long, professional piece concerning the name change at Whidbey General, but I wondered if there was something else to the story.

He responded that the question was unfounded and an attack on his character. He does not seem to accuse me of falsehoods, but misleading comments in my statement concerning the company that employs him.

I reread my letter and looked for any accusations, unfounded rhetoric or anything close to a character assassination. I came up short.

I find it ludicrous that someone has to go to such a long length to attack the individual and not just answer the question if they deem it worth of answering.

So, if it is a public apology that Mr. Jones is looking for, he comes up three points short — just as my basket ball team did in the NCA final game.

No harm no foul in asking a question. For my part game over.

Elvis has left the building.
