Nice to know people are willing to help | Letter

I would like to thank Christopher Strader, Mike and Joe Hammernik, and Joe, Jill, Jim and Ryan Hagar for all their help and making sure I got home safe.

Editor,

On May 22 around 4 p.m., I was riding my electric cart to Saar’s Marketplace.

I had just turned into the parking lot between El Cazador and the Tractor Supply Co. when I heard a loud “pop!”

The cart stopped rolling. I looked down to see the left rear tire was flat.

I immediately thought, “Oh no! What am I going to do?”

Then, I heard a familiar voice. It was Christopher Strader. He heard what he thought was a gunshot and turned to investigate and saw me.

Christopher was with some other friends, and they are all friends of my sister.

We talked about what to do, and they decided to lift my heavy cart into the back of one minivan to transport it while I rode back to where I live in another vehicle.

Christopher went to get my electric wheelchair from my apartment.

While I rode that into my apartment, Christopher and Mike Hammernik pushed my cart into my apartment.

I would like to thank Christopher Strader, Mike and Joe Hammernik, and Joe, Jill, Jim and Ryan Hagar for all their help and making sure I got home safe.

It is nice to know there are people willing to help others.
