It absolutely amazes me that the group that has filed a lawsuit is upset because the Navy is protecting its Outlying Field from harassment and possibly more lawsuits by installing a security barrier preventing vehicles from driving on the airstrip and, in general, warning the public that the OLF is federal property and to keep out.

Apparently, the Navy did not confer with them about how they should go about doing this, much to their chagrin.

How anyone could think this would hurt tourism is beyond me, and, yes, there are keep out signs to protect the Navy and civilians alike.

I’m sure the next time the Navy has to deal with a security issue they will put COER and Maryon Atwood on the top of their consultant list.
