Many questions stem from transit debacle | Letter

How appalling that our wonderful Island Transit service we’ve been proud to support is threatened by poor management and lack of supervision.

Editor,

How appalling that our wonderful Island Transit service we’ve been proud to support is threatened by poor management and lack of supervision.

Now its employees and the kids, seniors, workers and even tourists who depend on it must suffer.

We have a lot of questions. If Martha Rose used to get monthly reports, why didn’t she ask for them when she didn’t get them? How on earth was Barbara Savary able to dip into investments and reserves without some kind of authorization or approval?

The board of directors weren’t paying attention either if they never got financial reports and never asked for them.

We can only hope the elected officials serving on the board don’t run their government agencies this way.
