Unfortunately last week, someone decided that tearing down the Oak Harbor Senior Center’s 20-year-old building sign might be a good way to pass the time. The next morning, while driving by and seeing the result of the vandalism, Jeff Wallin of P&L General Contractors pulled into the center’s parking lot and loaded up what remained of the sign and its posts.
A few days later, workers from P&L arrived at the center, planted new sign posts then reinstalled a fully repaired and freshly painted sign.
We are very appreciative of Jeff and those at P&L who voluntarily took action to correct a wrong. I guess sometimes the worst of us can bring out the best of us. As for the perpetrators of the vandalism … no comment. Thank you P&L General Contractors!
