Overlake trips Coupeville / Tennis

Drake Borden won in first singles, but that was it as the Coupeville High School tennis team lost 4-1 to visiting Overlake Friday, Sept. 20.

Borden cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win in the featured singles contest.

The Wolves lost two, three-set matches.

Thane Peterson fell in second singles 4-6, 6-2, 10-6; and Zach Ginnings and Andrew Aparicio were clipped 6-7(3-7), 6-3, 6-0 in second doubles.

James Wood and Mason Grove lost 6-3, 6-1 in first doubles; and Miles Davidson and Koby Schreiber dropped the third doubles match 6-0, 6-2.

Coupeville (1-4) goes to Bear Creek (3-3) at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23.
