In an early season battle for second place in the Olympic League, the Port Townsend High School soccer team shutout Coupeville 3-0 Friday, March 31, at Mickey Clark Field.

The Red Hawks upped their conference record to 2-1 (4-2), one game behind Klahowya (3-0, 4-2-1). Coupeville slipped to 1-2 (2-4-1), just ahead of Chimacum (0-3, 1-5).

The Wolves were shutout for the second consecutive match after tallying 14 goals in their first five games.

Coupeville goes to Vashon Island (3-2-1) for a non-league game at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 3, before returning to Olympic League play at Chimacum at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11.
