Three combine for four firsts / Trampoline & tumpling

Oak Harbor’s Heidi Mullins, Lainey Samek and Kaia Crebbin all earned first place at the Mad Hatter Tumbling and Trampoline Party in Maple Valley Saturday, Feb. 4.

The trio led a group of five Whidbey Island athletes who medaled for Ground Zero Gymnastics in the second competitive meet of the season.

Mullins, competing in the 8 and under division, captured first in Level 3 trampoline and Level 5 tumpline and added a third place in Level 4 double mini.

Samek, 11-12, was first in Level 4 tumbling, second in Level 3 trampoline and fifth in Level 5 double mini.

Crebbin, 13-14, won the Level 6 double mini competition, finished third in Level 3 tumbling and took fourth in Level 6 trampoline.

Halia Stegeman, 11-12, snared second in Level 5 trampoline and third in both Level 5 tumbling and Level 6 double mini.

Allison Lovett, 11-12, was third in Level 6 double mini, fifth in Level 6 trampoline and seventh in Level 4 tumbling.

Ground Zero will travel to Kirkland on Saturday, Feb. 18, for its next tournament.
