With all the letters concerning the garage sale signs and Oak Harbor’s insistence that this ordinance be enforced so the signs do not block the sidewalks, I found it interesting that on Tuesday morning there were three construction signs on the sidewalk along Highway 20 across the street from Scenic Heights Road.

What I saw was a young man in a wheelchair trying to get around all three of these signs and let me tell you, the signs took up the entire sidewalk. If Oak Harbor is going to enforce this ordinance then be fair and let’s see three citations to the offending construction company.
