Soccer: Meadowdale tips Oak Harbor 6-2

The Oak Harbor High School soccer team scored early and late but not enough in between as Meadowdale defeated the Wildcats 6-2 at Edmonds Stadium Saturday, March 26.

Vance Freitas hit the net at the five-minute mark to get Oak Harbor off to a quick start.

When Michael Shevchuk scored for the Wildcats in the 68th minute, it was too late and not enough to overcome the Mavericks’ (3-3, 2-3) onslaught.

Mountlake Terrace (0-3) visits Oak Harbor (0-6, 0-4) Monday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m.
