Oak Harbor High School graduate Kayleigh Harper, now playing volleyball for Western Washington University, received All-American honors this week.

Harper, a junior, was named to American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II All-American second team as a middle blocker; she was an honorable mention selection as a sophomore.

Harper is among the nation leaders with 1.4 blocks per set and a .409 hitting percentage.

Four different Vikings received All-American honors, the most ever in one season for WWU.

Western plays Lewis University in the national semifinals Friday, Nov. 30, in Pittsburgh.
