Wildcats take fifth in Wesco North match / Girls golf

The Oak Harbor High School girls golf team placed fifth out of seven teams at the latest Wesco North match Tuesday, April 11, at the Snohomish Golf Course.

Marysville-Pilchuck won the match with a team total of 243, followed by Marysville Getchell (250), Snohomish (261), Arlington (295), Oak Harbor (324), Everett (347) and Stanwood (did not qualify for a team score).

Makalyn Miller led the Wildcats, shooting a 54 and placing 14th out of 38 golfers. Beth Paul shot 59, Jessica Monaghan 60, Natasha Decker 70 and Rebecca Kinder 81.

Snohomish’s Vreni Todd was the medalist with a four-over 40 for nine holes.

Oak Harbor will go to Arlington’s Gleneagle Golf Course for the next Wesco match at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 13.
