Wildcats follow familiar route to win | Tennis

Following the same pattern it used in its first win of the season, the Oak Harbor High School tennis team slipped by Getchell 4-3 in Marysville Wednesday, Sept. 16.

The Wildcats have won two of their three matches this fall, and in both victories they swept the four singles matches and dropped the three doubles contests.

The Oak Harbor singles players dominated the Chargers (1-4): 1, Jackson Wezeman won 6-0, 6-0; 2, Raymond Paraiso won 6-1, 6-3; 3, Rodrigo Columbo won 6-0, 6-0; and 4, Calib Byers won 6-1, 6-1.

The Wildcats fell in the doubles matches: 1, Jared Hunt/Matthew Hallahan lost 6-2, 6-2; Sidney Thomas and Matt Molitor lost 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (1); and 3, Noel Pangilinan/Jose Cabigting lost 6-2, 6-1.

Oak Harbor (2-1) entertains Arlington (0-5) in a Wesco North match at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17.
