Oak Harbor’s Olivia Tungate collected a first place among her five top-eight finishes in individual events at the Northwest Region Age Group Swimming Championships at Federal Way March 19-22.
In addition to her success at the regional meet, Tungate was picked to attend the Diversity National Select Camp in Colorado Springs May 7-10.
She is one of 24 girls from across the country to be chosen for the camp based upon times from USA Swimming sanctioned events.
Swimming in the 13/14 age division at the regional meet, Tungate, who competes for the King Aquatic Club, swam the 200-yard butterfly in 2:05.51 to win the event for the second consecutive year.
