Oak Harbor nabs 4th in 21-team tournament | Girls golf

Competing against 21 other schools, the Oak Harbor High School girls golf team placed fourth at the Burlington-Edison Invitational at the Skagit Valley Golf and Country Club Monday, April 14.

The Wildcats finished with a 406, trailing Kamiak (369), Bellingham (375) and Lake Stevens (379) and ahead of 11 other Western Conference schools.

Each school had three girls shoot 18 holes and three shoot nine; the highest nine-hole total was dropped to determine the team scores.

Oak Harbor’s Joanna Leete was third among those who played 18, shooting a nine-over 82. Bellingham’s Jenn Paul led the field of 120 with a 76.

Resego Mooki shot 104 and Bree Rederos 109 for the Wildcats.

Over nine holes (par 37), KC Winfield shot 54 (10th best), Dana Cornejo 57 and Tarra Baird 62.
