Tree control is up to the owner

I’m glad the property I own on Whidbey is not in Coupeville with its overbearing tree ordinance. There are a number of reasons someone might want to cut trees on his own property: for sunlight, view, tree variety, landscape variety, pasture or fear of falling on a structure.

Reasonable individual control should still matter.
