Spartans take down Oak Harbor / Tennis

The Stanwood tennis team swept Oak Harbor High School 5-0 Thursday, Oct. 3, on the Wildcats’ courts.

The Spartans (5-1, 6-3) moved to within a half match of Snohomish (5-0, 7-4) for the Western Conference North lead.

Oak Harbor (2-4, 4-5) will try to bounce back when it goes to Anacortes (5-4) for a non-league match at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Stanwood 7, Oak Harbor 0

Singles: 1, Ezra Franklin lost 6-1, 4-6, 6-2; 2, Ridgely Briddell lost 6-2, 6-3; 3, Yuji Caballero lost 6-0, 6-2; 4, Ben Servatius lost 6-3, 6-1.

Doubles: 1, Nick Krantz/Micah Franklin lost 1-6, 6-3, 6-3; 2, Samuel Peek/Ethan Snell lost 6-1, 6-1; 3, John Blankman/Lawrence Javelo lost 6-1, 6-1.
