Dodgeball tournament March 14 and 15

Northwest Training Academy is hosting a two- day dodgeball tournament Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, at Oak Harbor Elementary School as a fundraiser for players in the North Whidbey Soccer Academy.

The cost to participate is $35 per player.

Teams may have up to 10 players, with six players on the court at the beginning of the game.

Each match will consist of one 20 minute continuous clock period and teams will play as many games as possible during that time period.

The team with the most wins at the end of playing time wins the match.

Teams are guaranteed a minimum of three 20 minute sessions.

Tournament organizers will divide the teams into adult and children’s (fourth grade and above) brackets.

The registration deadline is Saturday, March 7, so get your teams together now.

Central Whidbey soccer meeting March 17

Central Whidbey Soccer Club is having their annual general meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at Windemere, 5 South Main St., in Coupeville.

The club needs volunteers ranging from an equipment manager, coaches, members at large and board members.

Babe Ruth tryouts begin March 7

Oak Harbor Babe Ruth Baseball will conduct tryouts for 12, 13 and 14-year-old players from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, at the Oak Harbor High School baseball field.

No preregistration is required.
