Oak Harbor High School’s best performances at the 10-team Tomahawk Track and Field Classic Saturday, May 3, came in the day’s longest race.

The Wildcats’ John Rodeheffer placed first in the boys 3,200 meters in 9:38.6, and Jonalynn Horn grabbed second in the girls 3,200 in 11:28.8.

In the team standings, the Oak Harbor girls finished sixth (54.5) and the boys seventh (41). Tahoma won both, tallying 137.5 points in the girls meet and 162 in the boys.

Rodeheffer added a third in the 1,600 (4:28.48), and Taylor Deconzo was third in two events (shot put, 32-09; javelin, 100-09).

Oak Harbor takes part in the Stanwood Invitational at 4:15 p.m. Friday, May 9, then heads to the conference meet at Marysville’s Quil Ceda Stadium next week.

The Wesco preliminaries and the finals in several events are at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14. The remaining finals are at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 16.
