Meadowdale and the weather rained down on the Oak Harbor High School tennis team as the visiting Mavericks defeated the Wildcats 5-0 Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Rained pushed the match, originally scheduled for Monday, to Tuesday, then it forced the cancellation of the fourth singles and third doubles matches before they were completed Tuesday.

Oak Harbor’s match with Glacier Peak (3-3, 5-4) Wednesday was rained out and will be played in Oak Harbor at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4.

Oak Harbor (2-4, 3-6) goes to Mountlake Terrace (1-5, 3-6) Thursday, Oct. 3.

Singles: 1, Harrison Miller lost 6-0, 6-0; 2, Carter Saar lost 6-1, 6-1; 3, Casiano Atienza lost 6-3, 6-3; 4, Jackson Wezeman, 6-1, 1-6, rained out.

Doubles: 1, Jose Dimaculangan/Jozef Mendoza lost 6-2, 6-1; 2, Jacob Nelson/Tom Dale lost 6-1, 6-1; 3, Kyle Martin/Isaac Deleon, 4-6, 6-2, rained out.
