Jacquelyn F. Dalton

Jacquelyn F. “Jackie” Dalton, 82, a recent resident of East Wenatchee and former longtime (over 40 years) Oak Harbor resident, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 in East Wenatchee.

She was born on June 9, 1931 in Greenfield, Mass. to the late George A. and Ruth (Brown) Holt. She was raised and educated in Swampscott, Mass.

She was active with the service organization and a lifetime member of the Oak Harbor American Legion Auxiliary. Known as the “Cookie Lady,” her baking delights were a treasured gift on the holidays. She loved to needlepoint and knit. Knitted blankets where given to residents in the local nursing home.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Pierre and son Glen Conklin.

She is survived by her daughters: Donna (Scott) Munz, of Rock Island, Wash.; Terry (Mark) Linthacum, of Siberia, Russia; siblings: Marie Cropley, of Beverly, Mass.; George Holt Jr., of Englewood, Ohio; Sandi George, of Rankin, Ga.; Fred Holt, of St. Maries, Ga.; Donna Maulding, of Englewood, Fla.; five grandchildren: Richard Wheeler, of Entiat, Wash.; Scott Wheeler, of Anthem, Ariz.; Daphne Asuncion, of Bozeman, Mont.; Cassandra Rowe, of Bozeman, Mont. and Shawn Conklin, of Everett, Wash. and seven great-grandchildren.

A family gathering is being held. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
