The annual Rock On! 3v3 Soccer Tournament returns to Fort Nugent Park May 28 and 29.

The annual Rock On! 3v3 Soccer Tournament returns to Fort Nugent Park May 28 and 29.

The tournament includes an adult division this year, so the competition is open to those 6 years old and above.

The 3v3 matches are played on 30×40-yard fields with small (U6) goals.

There are no goalies; instead a no-play zone is marked in front of the goal where no one is allowed to touch the ball. Subs are made on the fly. The games are divided into two 12-minute halves with a two-minute halftime.

Team rosters for U11 and up are limited to five players; younger teams may include six.

Rock On! 3v3 is designed for the whole family. In addition to the 3v3 play, the event includes Goalie Wars, music, vendors, give-aways, an opening ceremony Saturday and a goodie bag and T-shirt for each players.

This year’s tournament is dedicated to the memory of Christian Farmer, one of the participants in the first Rock On! in 2005.

The tournament registration deadline is May 18. Visit the North Whidbey Soccer Club website at wys-nwsc.affinitysoccer.com or email riverpowers@yahoo.com for additional information.
