Timothy John Bain

Tim Bain, 45, passed away unexpectedly at his residence April 21, 2009. He was born in Philadelphia, Penn., on May 26, 1963 to James and Darlene Bain. They lived in New Jersey and Virginia before moving to Oak Harbor in 1965. Tim attended Oak Harbor and Adak, Alaska, schools, graduating from Oak Harbor High School in 1981.

Tim was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with Troop 60, where he achieved the Order of Eagle Scout.

In his early years Tim was employed at Bargain Center in Oak Harbor. He moved to Anacortes in 1988. He spent many years working in the construction industry both in the Northwest and in Guam. He was proud of his accomplishments, loved his work and was known as a very skilled carpenter.

Tim is survived by his parents, Jim and Darlene of Oak Harbor; his most loved children, daughter Nicole Alyson and son Nicholas Aiken; his brother Michael with wife Wendy, of Oak Harbor; sisters Audrey of Lynden, and Kristine with husband James Barnes of Oklahoma City, Okla.; nieces Jessica, Emily, Meredith, Courtney and Kellsea; nephews Kyler James and Jarrod; and his many friends at Hong Kong Gardens in Anacortes. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends; he was a loving and kind person and a friend to all.

A visitation for Tim will be held at Burley Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., followed by a service for him at 2 p.m., also At Burley Funeral Chapel. Friends and family may visit www.burleyfuneralchapel.com to sign a guest book and write remembrances for the family.
